For the fifth time, Odyssea proudly participated in the Science Festival, Luxembourg’s biennial celebration of science and technology organized by the Naturmusée and the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR).
This year’s workshop, “Sonic Seas: How Whales Hunt, Sing, and Survive,” invited visitors to discover the fascinating underwater world of ocean sound. Participants explored marine soundscapes and learned how whales, dolphins, and other marine animals use sound to communicate, navigate, and find food.
A highlight of the workshop was an immersive deep-sea tunnel that transported visitors into the darkness of the ocean depths. Surrounded by authentic underwater sounds, guests experienced haunting whale songs, rapid echolocation clicks, and the growing impact of human-generated noise pollution on marine life.
